Maintain them properly

Keep it clean and free of acids and cleansers, as the thin brass will deteriorate over time. The humidity from the shower steam causes inner surfaces to deteriorate, not quickly, but they are not "forever" installations. We had ours 23 years and I notice they need replacing, they probably needed replacing after 10 - 15 years.

Q: I just bought a Garrison tulip entry door knob set 046-3366-4, expecting it to be rekeyable. There is no mention of this feature in the instructions or on the package. I got the knob off of the key side but it's looking like a lost cause. Is there a way?
