Garbage

I consider myself to be fairly handy and have installed electronic locks in the past. But this is junk and didn't work out of the box. Unresponsive despite hours of troubleshooting. Trust that i'm not an idiot and please don't buy this. Not worth calling for warranty or customer service. Just don't buy it.

Don’t buy

Had one installed for my elderly parents…worked great for about 2 weeks…returned and replaced with another one…worked for about a week. Very frustrating. Will have to look into another product when time permits. Have to use the key until then. Note, fresh batteries used in both and installed by an electrician. Don’t buy this product

Seems ok, but actually was a bit smaller than the previously installed unit and so screw holes through door were visible. Will have to buy larger front plate.

Q: All the locks in my home work with the same key. Can I switch the tumblers of this lock, as I can't have a different key?

A: It’s re-keyable. Here are steps. 1. It needs a special rekeying kit. Note that CTC doesn’t sell re-keying kits. 2. Re-assembly the deadbolt and remove the lock cylinder There is a special tool that re-keying kit has for re-keying process. 3. Remove the cylinder retainer ring from cylinder 4. Take out cylinder plug 5. Take out bottom pins 6. Insert with new key blank (cut key already), so it will be clear understand the pin size to put in. 7. Then assembly it back to work. There is another way for asking locksmith’s help. Simply bring the cylinder part with key blank that consumer wants to use, so locksmith will re-key to match with its key blank.

Q: Lock works in reverse locks when you put in the code unlocks when you you punch the centre lock button

Q: I have 2 1/4" thick door where I can get thick door extension kit ? I need a longer tailpiece and screws. I looked for Canadian website for Garrison but I found only UK one, I contacted them but they can't help me.

A: The thickness 2-1/4” (57mm) is not regulation specific. The component parts of electrical lock set has motor, PCB. The specification is limited for doing the thickness change, therefore we don’t recommend that customer's modify this themselves.
