Lost all coolant, doesn’t work anymore, which is sad, since everything else is in good shape. Canadian garbage dumps must be full of these, sad.
This thing is heavy and loud, bought a replacement from a competitor to Canadian Tire

Got one of these a few years ago. It worked for one season, perhaps 20 hours of use. By the following spring it was done. Had it replaced under warranty and the new one was used maybe 10 hours before it also quit. My suspicion is that the freon (or whatever its filled with) leaks out. The compressor runs, the fan blows but no moisture is removed from the air. Choose another brand but there is a good chance it will come from the same factory in China.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What is the warranty?
Does this unit have a 1 year or 5 year warranty, and is it covered by the store.

A: Basically after one year you are on your own. When it stops working and you call them they will direct you to have the unit evaluated by a repair shop at your expense. So approximately $100 plus your time and transportation costs to see if they will cover anything.

Q: Attached a garden hose for gravity draining but
water is still going into bucket, call ed Garrison support twice spoke to two different people no help at all!!
Does any one know if there needs to be a plug put in somewhere?

A: Hi Sir,
for this question, you can have a look at the user's manual for your reference.
1. if you are using the unit without pump, you need to connect the gardon hose to the unit so that water will go directly to the floor drain and will not go into the bucket at all; 2. if you are using the unit with pump, it will be more easier for you to just connect the drain hose to the unit and click the "P" on control panel. Please let me know if you have any question when using the unit.
Also look for a 1/2" size hole next to the drain hose connection, this should be plugged with a rubber plug, for the water to be diverted to the garden hose connection. This rubber plug would have been included in the box with the dehumidifier.
This question is a duplicate, please see the previously replied version.
Thank you,
Happy new year to you and your family.
Regards

Q: How to remove the air filter?
After removing the air filter cover (with the louvers), how do you remove the actual air filter itself on the Garrison 70l dehumidifier?
2 Answers
A: There is no actual filter, just the pieces with the louvers. If the inside of the unit is dirty, all the screws to remove the plastic casings are easily accessible (about 20 phillips). After you take everything apart, leave the four screws off that hold on the front panel for easy future cleaning.

Q: Would it be better to purchase a dehumidifer smaller than a 70 pint model for a 1,000 sq ft basement?

2 Answers
A: To me, 70 pints doesn't look like much. I wouldn't go any smaller than that for a basement. We empty ours 2-3 times per 24 hours.

A: The washable filters are on the sides of the dehumidifier. See page 17 of the manual. You take off the air intake grills, then remove the filters to clean them.
