Absolute garbage, lasts less than 1 year and the replacement died in 1 year also

Works well but the first one died just before a year. Canadian Tire replaced it with some haggling and the replacement also died just over a year from purchase. DO NOT BUY

Works but LOUD!

Bought this unit last winter to deal with the high humidity in our house. It took buckets and buckets of moisture out of the air but it sounded like we had a jet in our kitchen! I am currently on the hunt for something way quieter!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Garrison Dehumidifier ices up.

bought this machine, did not last one year, the condenser ices up but only at the bottom, sign of low refrigerant. repair would cost more than a new machine, so this Garrison is a NO Buy item. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. 0 stars.

Q: Excessive moisture - Garrison 50 pint Dehumidifier - Product # 43-6163 Unfinished basement area 000 Sq. Ft. The unit is set at 35-40 % humidity level and it does collect water too. Still there is wetness / moisture on the wall insulation. Why ? Water leak from outside is checked and rule out.

  • A: I can only guess that you need a larger unit or the dehumidifier is not performing. The air should be warm coming out of it. If it is cold, the evaporator is likely icing up and this is a defect. Look under the side screen to see if there is ice and heavy frost built up towards the bottom of the screen opening.

Q: couvre quelle superficie svp

1 Answer

Q: Why does the heater fan blower not turn off once the set temperature has been reached. Why pay for electricity to run fan continuously as once the set temperature has been reached, the heated air stops but the fan continues to run and blows air into the room. It should work the same as other heaters do, cycle on and off automatically.

1 Answer
  • A: Overheat shut-off protection system. This feature shuts down the heater automatically if it gets overheated due to any abnormal condition
