  • A product’s “useful life” means the period during which the product (a) has sufficient memory capacity and other required technical capabilities to utilize current map data and (b) is capable of operating as intended without major repairs. A product will be deemed to be out of service and its useful life to be ended if no updates have been downloaded for such product for a period of 24 months or more. Unless otherwise stated, the updates you receive under the subscription will be updates to the same geographic area included with your Garmin product when originally purchased.

  • In some instances, your Garmin product might not have sufficient memory remaining for you to load an update to the map data, in which case you will need to either (a) select reduced map data coverage for your updates, or (b) purchase separately a microSD™/SD™ card (if and as applicable to your Garmin product) and load all or a portion of the map data coverage for your updates to the card and insert the card into the microSD/SD card slot contained in your Garmin product. If neither of the measures in (a) or (b) can be used to address your product’s lack of sufficient remaining memory, then Garmin may conclude that the “useful life” of your product has expired.

  • Garmin may terminate your nüMaps Lifetime or other lifetime map subscription at any time if you violate any of the terms of this agreement or your subscription. Your nüMaps Lifetime subscription or other lifetime map subscription may not be transferred to another person or another Garmin product.

    Don't waste your money on it , lot of issues connecting it to my car , when its connected it has to be on wifi to review anything and it has to be on and connected to your fhone, its only good as a dash cam

    Q: Does anyone have any night shots or more so videos of this specific dash cam? Also, is there WDR and ultra night vision on it? With the lane assist, how is winter driving? How is Data use because of Alexa?

    • A: There are no official Garmin videos showing night shots taken from this model. There may be videos or shots on You Tube from others but nothing officially by Garmin. WDR or ultra night vision, the Garmin dashcam does not offer either of these options however our lenses do adjust the saturation level of light under low light conditions. This does make the images more grainy. Lane Assist is a GPS function which is not affected by winter driving conditions. Amazon would be the ones to address the question of Data usage when using Alexa which will be based on number or enquiries transmitted over their network.

    Q: Does this product require a data connection to use navigation?  And what about dash cam? Data needed?

    • A: Yes, the Garmin Speak Plus do not contain onboard mapping, meaning that navigational searches require data connectivity to start a route. Once the route has been calculated, the device does not require a data connection to give turn-by-turn directions. However, if you deviate from the route while there is no network connectivity, the device may not be able to calculate a new route until data is restored.

    • A: Yes, Garmin uses your existing phone's data connection with cellular signal to stream Alexa responses, music, audiobooks and more. Data usage by the Amazon Alexa app will vary depending on the skills enabled and used, such as flash briefings, music player and games.
