Cheap rubber buttons prone to cracking
Bought this GPS several years ago. I see that it is now discontinued. My biggest beef is that the rubber wore out on the buttons and now, I can not scan in and out. This unit did not get a lot of use considering the wear that it incurred. Garmin should be able to utilize premium rubber components on its units...not the inferior rubber mixed with plastic that cracks in cold weather. I'm very hesitant to purchase another Garmin GPS for fear the rubber buttons will incur the same state. This seems to be a very common failure, even though electronics still function.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good GPS
Garmin ETREX 20 is very durable and reliable. The signal is accurate. It is my outdoor companion. I use this unit for geocaching as well. It is waterproof and stays on my kayak when I am on a lake. Takes 2 AA batteries and has a good battery life.

Q: Can I enter longitude and latitude coordinates to find spesific locations

A: Before creating a waypoint manually on the handheld, make sure that the position format and map datum that the device is set to, matches the position format and the map datum of the coordinate that is to be entered into the device. If these settings are different between the device and the original coordinate, the waypoint will not be positioned correctly on the device.
To change the position format and map datum setting on the device, please follow these instructions:
Highlight Setup from the Main Menu and press Enter using the thumbstick
Highlight Position Format and press enter
If the option for Position Format does not appear, keep scrolling down until it is visible
From this screen you can change the Position Format and the Map Datum
To manually create a waypoints
With the device powered on, Select Mark Waypoint
The screen should now change to a New Waypoint screen
Highlight the box labeled "Location" that contains the coordinates that were created by default
Press the Enter button
Use the on-screen keyboard to adjust the letters and numbers to match the coordinates that are desired
In the on-screen keyboard are arrow keys, up, down, left, and right, that can be used to switch between the different parts of the coordinate
Once the coordinate has been edited, highlight the Done button at the bottom of the screen
Press the Enter button
You can also change the Name and other parts of the waypoint by editing them the same way as you did the coordinate
When everything is set correctly, highlight the Done button at the bottom the screen and press the Enter button
