I bought the Gardena Deluxe Impulse Sprinkler and when I tried it the sprinkler got to the right side and stayed there, it would not rotate back. I tried it for about 10 minutes and then packaged it up and tried to return it to Canadian Tire the next day but they would not give me my money back as I had opened it and "used" it. Originally when I opened it I could see it had been taped at least three times so I deduct that's how many times people brought it back and then it was returned to the shelf again. They gave me a credit but honestly I don't ever want to shop there again. Their policy is if you open it they won't give you your money back. How am I supposed to know if it works if I don't take it out of the box and try it. Shame on you Canadian Tire!!!

Q: I am getting quite frustrated with the range setup. The range knob stays put where set, but the range keeps changing randomly on its own. None of the parts are loose and have a constant water pressure. What is the issue? Is it a defective piece?

A: I have four of these sprinklers of various ages. They all work great, but they do have two ranges if you have the silver governor turned down - farther one way, and then close range on the way back. If you have the silver tab up so it goes only in one direction, then the range should stay fairly constant with a short hose 25-50'. I find the longer the hose, the less consistent the range (and less forceful/far). Also, when I use the contractible hoses the range is never consistent or as far. Hope this helps!

A: The sprinkler is a pulsating sprinkler, not a oscillating sprinkler. If you make it so it'll go around in a circle it'll probably cover a 60 foot circle. Not much water drops to the ground with-in that circle, mostly just on the outer edge.

A: Make sure that your hose connection is always free of sand, dirt and debris before connecting. Rinse the sprinkler under hot water being sure to clear the hose inlet and sprinkler mechanism.

Q: Coverage while ensuring height I have a L shaped yard 5000 sq ft . Can I set it at 35 ft radius and at a height such that it does not spray into my neighbours property(7 houses surrounds my backyard) while ensuring complete coverage

A: Product 059-7439 will cover up to 5200 sf. depending on water flow and pressure. With the radius adjustments and the throw adjustments on the head this consumer should easily achieve there desired coverage.
