    Quality stand and clock

We bought this at 75% off which is a steal. The first one went back because the base had a piece broken off. The exchange one is perfect. Very well made and heavy. The led lights light up the clock face and it really looks cool. It has a light sensor so will only come on if dark enough and has variable brightness level The only fault is the back clock cover must be removed to make adjustments to clock, thermometer ,hygrometer and to turn on or off the led lights. Not sure why they didn't put a switch on the outside casing. So I cut a hole so a finger could reach in to set the light switch on or off. Very tricky to do so not a job for everyone. 4 D batteries run the lights and 1AA runs the clock.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: how do you open the compartment for the DD batteries?

    1 Answer
    • A: The back clock cover of this discontinued item must be removed to make adjustments or replace the battery. I would recommend to use a tool such as a slim flat head screwdriver and delicately work the groove of the back cover to open. Be careful not to dig the tool aggressively into the back to avoid damaging the cover. Once, the battery is replaced, carefully push the back cover in place.
