Sturdy umbrella base

Bought this for a patio umbrella that used a different type of base. This unit comes with a few adapters to accommodate different diameters of umbrella shafts. My umbrella wasn't a perfect fit but I was able to split one of the adapters and get the shaft to fit snugly. The base holds the umbrella with no wobble. The base is heavy enough to keep the umbrella upright in moderate breezes.

A: I have 2 of these bases and have not had any problem with the bolts. I would recommend the base be returned to Canadian and replaced with a new one with a properly fitting bolt!

Q: Canadian Tire website sucks. How wide is the circumference of the pole? Also, how wide an umbrella pool will hold? This seems to me to be basic information yet is not on most of the umbrella bases

A: Hi, The outer diameter of the base tube is 48mm, and the ring size is 34/37/40mm. The umbrella can be adjusted to fit these three internal tube diameters.
