Bought this as a stool for my work bench, got it on sale for half price and worth it. Sturdy construction (definitely glue the dowels).

    Très bel achat

Nous venons tout juste d’acheter ces deux bancs de comptoir. Facile à monter, tous les morceaux présents et même davantage dans la boîte . Pour ce prix, difficile d’avoir mieux. Très bien fait

    Reglue the manufactured joints

I have had these stools for 2 years. I wish the manufacturer had not partially preassembled the sides, as the lousy glue and pin nails make these joints unstable. I glued everything I could with carpenter's glue (yellow, not white) when originally assembling, and my 2 year old joints are still perfect. I am currently disassembling the manufactured joints, pulling out the silly pin nails and reassembling with wood glue and my own screws in these joints. If you don't have clamps to hold your joints together for 24 hour dry time, wrap around all the legs with packing tape stretched tightly; if removed within a day, the tape does not mar the finish. The boxy seat edges are not quite as comfortable as a rounded edge on thighs, but the stools are quite nice looking... so the looks make up for the slight discomfort.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Hard to put together

These stools are very hard to put together. They come with a single allen key with two different sizes but it makes it very hard to use the one side with very little to hold onto. I ended up having to use a drill bit but the pilot holes are so tight that my drill bit stripped the screws. I ended up returning these stools.

No, I do not recommend this product.
