4-Legged Waste of Time and Space

We got three of these stools a year and a half ago. Since then I have started a new tradition in my household of gluing and tightening them every week. Not only is the "wood" as durable as sponge toffee one would find inside a Crunchie Bar, it is rated for 350 pounds in the same respect as a soap bubble is. Last night as I was sitting at my kitchen counter enjoying a tasty beverage I heard a 'crack' and immediately found that I was no longer 26 inches above the floor, but instead I was sitting on the floor, staring my oven in the face. I am a muscular 240 pounds and I pancaked that stool. Possible uses for this Shinto Stool include: - Extra dry kindling to stoke a fire of rage after finding out how duped you've been in this purchase. - Throwing projectiles for launching at your least favorite neighbor. - A fun at-home wrestling cage match where you can easily break a stool over someone's back and no one sustains any damage as the stool will disintegrate immediately. - Feats of strength in front of your friends as you apply minimal effort and easily tear the stool apart by hand.
  • Upon Collapse
  • A pile of kindling
  • A label of hope

Not a bad stool for the price

Overall I like these stools. My husband says they are bit uncomfortable for him as the seat edges are not rounded and feel a bit sharp, but I don't find this to be a problem. The finish on them is a bit uneven and rough, which works for us, but wouldn't be for everyone. My only real issue was in putting them together; not all of the holes lined up perfectly and as the metal in the allen key and screws provided was not of the best quality and very soft, some of the screw heads got quite stripped and difficult to tighten.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Shinto stool 26 inch

The stool needed assembly, but it was quick and simple instructions. I have had my stools for three years now and they are daily used. They are sturdy and well made. The dark varnish on them is holding up very well. The only thing I had to do was add foot pads that were not included with the stool.

Yes, I recommend this product.
