Very poorly built. The holes drilled for the dowels were drilled too deeply so as to not give any support. One of the stools had damaged parts. I understand why they were half price. I returned both

High expectations based on prior purchase, but disappointed by these

Bought 4 of these 9 years ago and quality was much better. I’m still using them. Bought 6 more of these recently and paid more than twice the price for poorer quality. The most obvious quality difference is the seat. The wood is in three sections and at least two stools have seats that appear to be separating, and the unstained wood is visible where they join together. I need them and bought the last few, so I’m hoping that the frame keeps the three pieces of the seat from coming apart and I’ll stain the gap.

Q: I recently purchased this black stool from you, allegedly "solid wood." I'm really happy with it, but baffled by the extreme hardness of the "wood." I needed to attach something to the seat, and it was virtually impenetrable, good drill or not. How come?

Q: The product says the dimensions are 15" L x 11" W x 26" H. This is the dimensions of the seat but does is not the dimensions of the legs which is larger by 4 inches. Can this be corrected to the true dimensions?

A: We're sorry for the confusion, yes, the seat size is 15" x 11". Once assembled because of the angle of the legs / the degree on the legs at the bottom to the floor is 14.25’’ x 14’’. We will be sure to make this clear in the Features.
