Q: Can I trim the width from 60" down to 49"? I have seen videos on how to do this, but I suspect there is some limitation on the amount I can cut off each end.

A: I don't believe you can trim these. I mounted this blind on the outside of the window frame so when they were down the entire window including frame was covered. It looked great. Excellent blinds
