Works as intended. Just had new quartz vanity installed and my wife kept leaving her hot hair straightener and curling tongs directly on the countertop. This protects the countertop and the hair accessories

Saved my counter/ probably prevented a fire

I’ve had this for 6 months and today it saved my countertop maybe even my house. I left my straightener on and went away for two days. Came back to find it charred brown. Not even a spec of brown/burn mark on the counter

I purchased two of these to go under my curling iron and flat iron. They are fairly thin so heat from the flat iron still goes through. To protect my countertop I fold that mat in half. The curling iron can go directly on it since it has a bit of a stand to hold it above. For flat iron use I would prefer a thicker mat that could stay flat but at least I can fold it. I also use it under my hair dryer to keep it from slipping. Decently priced and the size is better than I've seen elsewhere. Nice colour.
