Very Pretty but NOT for a 9' ceiling

The light is beautiful however a little time consuming to put together. Unfortunately it is not for a 9' ceiling. It does not have enough cord for a longer drop and we didn't realize this until we were in the process of hanging it up. I will now be buying new wire to extend the drop.

I bought this light for my sister as a gift. We installed it, and it looks great! The installation is a little bit trickier than an average light, but well worth the little bit of extra effort.
The overall quality is very sound. One abnormality was found with the "crystals". Several strands of the crystals had an extra hole at the end of the strand. Pretty minor and doesn't distract from the light fixuture as a whole, but thought I'd mention it for those that are very particular.
Also in an installation where the ceiling is more than 8' high the cables may not be long enough to mount the light with the cables provided.
Overall great light! Recommend it.

Looks great, Installation a little tricky

We bought this light for my scrapbook room which is decorated in a sort of "glam" style. It looks great and provides a good amount of task lighting on my work table (though the rest of the room stays a little dim due to the black shade). It was a little tricky to get this light level when we installed it, and you have to attached each sting of crystals yourself which took a lot of time. We were actually given the wrong number of crystals so where it was supposed to alternate we had two of the same at the end. Oh well, no one would notice that anyway I am sure!

This light is absolutely beautiful, once you get it hung. The picture doesn't even come close to showing how elegant it truly is. Looks great during the day and even better at night. Honestly I didn't think I'd be this excited about a light but its strikingly pleasing to eye more than I would've thought. It even casts neat designs on the walls, ceilings and floors from the glass crystal hanging accents. One might say its a piece of art! Thank you Debbie Travis for such a wonderful product and thank you CT for selling it!
My only complaint about this light is the difficulties I had with hanging it. The instructions could be more in depth in regards to what tools to use and how to adjust the wiring, etc. I wouldn't suggest you hang this by yourself but it is possible.

Q: Can I use this with a ceiling medallion?

A: Of course you can -- if you're handy enough to deal with the way the medallion changes the level of the ceiling. The middle plate will attach to the electrical box behind (above) the medallion by means of extended screws, same as any other fixture. Then the two support lines will need to connect to the ceiling. If the medallion is large enough to cover those connection points you'll need to use longer screws to reach the ceiling or joist behind the medallion; and if you're using anchors you'll need to dig through the medallion (probably with a drill) to reach the ceiling to put the anchors in first. And then depending on the size and shape of the medallion those two outer contact points may end up contacting the medallion (or ceiling) at a different level than the centre plate does, in which case you'll need to deal with the centre wire becoming too loose or too tight. I would think you could find a way to take up the slack in whichever lines were too long. So, as I said, if you're handy, you can do it.

Q: It indicates the cord length is - 24" (61 cm) is that the length it hangs from the ceiling? Can it be extended ?

A: the fixtures' wire (height) is adjustable. the maximum drop is of 59". 59" takes into account the wire length from the ceiling to the bottom of the black shade.
