Q: how many lbs can each shelve hold? can i fill the bookcase with books, without it caving in?
13 years agoA: The very top can't hold anything. The bottom can hold about 50 pounds I think; the rest I think it said 37 pounds. It says the exact weight on the instructions. It definitely won't "cave in"; over a very long time, the shelves may become a tiny bit curved but I imagine it would be fine filled with most books.

Q: What is the size of the packaging and how much does it weigh?
11 years agoA: You can find this information online somewhere I think; maybe on the Sauder website. I remember reading that it was about 80 pounds. I don't know the exact dimensions of the packaging but I remember when I took the books through my front door, standing just inside the door on the floor, it was just a couple of inches from the top of the door (so a bit shorter than a standard door#. The width is quite narrow #maybe 1.5 feet or less).
