Cheap Garbage

Compared to the laundry cabinets they were selling in 2019 (same product name and price) this is dog feces shaped into a rectangle and painted white.
Gone is the one-piece gloss door and replaced with 5 pieces of sawdust with amateur-level glue seams.
Positive: Because they are using the cheapest “wood” possible, it was very easy to lift and install alone. The older cabinets were heavier MDF and needed an extra set of hands to install. I suppose that’s great. Sure…
Attached are photos where you can compare what they used to sell only 5 years ago vs what they sell now. Yes, the new cabinet doors are crooked. Unlike the 2019 version, you have to really play around with the hinge adjusters to make them flush. I ran out of desire to continue that fool’s errand.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What material is the back panel made from? Is it thick enough to use as support for hanging the cabinet?

A: The back panel is just thin particle board and not supportive, but there is a 5/8"x 4" piece of wood/particle board inside the cabinet, top back, the width of the cabinet. I mounted my unit with three screws into three studs. It's extremely well hung, and the unit is very well made and looks quite nice.
