FoodSaver 2-in-1 Full Size Cordless Handheld Vacuum Sealer

We had an older FoodSaver that (after a decade-plus of regular use) was starting to work less well, so we finally decided to replace it. As soon as this new one arrived, I wondered why we waited so long. It works with our old FoodSaver containers--the kind you used to have to seal with a plastic tube--which I was worried about, and even better it is SO. MUCH. QUIETER. Anyone who owned an old-model FoodSaver knows what I'm talking about: that thing was LOUD, so much so that I'd feel bad using it if we had guests over. The new handheld vacuum sealer is almost silent, and I think it works more quickly too. The whole setup has been working great, and I really love that it comes with the reusable ziptop bags in addition to single-use bags. (Incidentally, the little U-shaped plastic doohicky is for sealing the ziptop bags--that's not explained anywhere in the instructions but I found it online somewhere.) The wine sealer works phenomenally too. It's worth replacing your old FoodSaver if you've been on the fence, or buying a new one if you don't own one already. Get one of the storage containers too, and you can make guacamole that stays fresh in the fridge for days after :)

Unhappiness is not an option! Throughout all my years as a FoodSaver consumer, I have NEVER had any problems until the purchase of their Handheld+ 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealing System! The regular vacuum sealer will not operate at all, although the sealer function works. I have repeatedly tried to reach out to FoodSaver regarding this problem, however I cannot reach anyone! So sadly, I have no more than 2 stars to give.

I have had this over a year and love it! Works hard and vacuums quickly. I do miss the built in bag cutter but love the space it saves not having it included in the machine. It slides easily into a cupboard to keep my counter top clear but easily accessible.

When I bought this I really liked it though I wished there was a place to hold and cut the rolls. But after 3 months the unit stopped working. It lights up but doesn't make any noise or does it vacuum. I have tried several times to contact Food saver though the website but have had no success as of yet. My review would have been a 4 other wise.
