Easy to follow instructions and this kit was a perfect solution to my toilet issue. I was concerned when I opened the package. I saw the bag for the hardware had already been opened. Fortunately, no parts were missing. One observation. Compared to the original mechanism, this kit was noticeably much firmer to activate.

Good Product but Not as Described

Fluidmaster describes this product as 'universal' fitting copied by Canadian Tire, which it is not - I needed a device to fit a Kohler brand 'Aqua-piston' flush valve. Fluidmaster told me that 'none of our products fit the Aquapiston flush valve'. I returned the Fluidmaster products and received an immediate 100% refund, no argument.

Yes, unfortunately because Kohler makes a proprietary oversized system for their toilets, no known aftermarket company makes a product that would replace the 3 inch aquapiston properly. Q: We installed this but when flushing there is a lot of resistance when pushing the lever. I've previously installed two of the 2" versions of this product and neither of them have this issue. Is there something we can adjust to make it easier to flush?

  • A: check the angle of the lever arm it may be set up too high and touching the water tank lid also check the chain on the flapper it may be  strung too tight.

Q: Why doesn't CTC carry the replacement 3 inch gasket that is sold in this product (63-0577) separately?
