lasted all of about 10 hours of spray time, some how the paint pressured up in the the sprayer itself and shorted out the gun, absolutely junk, tried to upload a picture of it but it will not let me
No, I do not recommend this product.

Used this sprayer for spraying spar varnish on a bunch of exterior planters I'd made. I cut the spar varnish 20% and it sprayed like a dream after a bit of adjustment. No regrets buying this.

Q: Can the Wagner Flexio 590 Indoor/Outdoor paint sprayer be used to paint a ceiling? I understand some paint sprayers do not work well when used on an angle, like you would need to do to paint a ceiling.

A: Be very careful, as you have to tilt the GUN towards you, which could cause motor damaged or burned by paint or liquid flowing to the motor. I would prefer not to use use on Ceiling

Q: I need to mix in some FLOETROL additive with some paint and it gives me a ratio to use with a "Cup Gun Sprayer". Would the Wagner 590 be considered a Cup Gun Sprayer?

A: AJAlexander that's a good question I can't answer. My Wagner 590 is still in the box and unsused yet. However my gut feeling is that it can be done. The only time I would not use anything in my Wagner 590 is if it's too thick. For that reason I would think a FLOETROL additive would not be a problem.

A: Yes I used it on my entire kitchen. Ceiling, walls and I have wainscoting. The sprayer saved me hours of work and turned out great.

Q: What should the dials be set to for latex paint, using the fine nozzle? Manual shows ‘N/A’

A: We suggest you experiment with the flow control and the turbine speed, this will help you get use to the adjustments so when you add your coating it will take less time to get use to it. Usually you want to start a test pattern with the turbine speed all the way up and the flow control at it's lowest setting and slowly turn the flow control up a little at a time until you are getting a good pattern. Strain your paint and make sure it is mixed up very well. The better it is mixed up the better it will spray. I cannot stress how important these two things are. Make sure the end of the nozzle is no more than 6”-8” away from what you are spraying. If you need to add water or paint conditioner (a paint by product sold at most paint stores or home centers) add a little at a time, you can always add more but you can’t take away. There is a learning curve so test the sprayer with water first, It is cheaper to experiment with than paint. Feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 for further assistance.

A: As long as it's just latex, use water. Rinse everything till clean, then fill cup with water and spray till clear. This is my method and I've had good results.

A: The Flexio 590 has a pickup tube that can be turned to face 180 degrees so that you can then tilt the gun upwards, up to 45 degrees towards the ceiling. For popcorn ceilings, spraying from two directions will help with better coverage. For more application tips call us at 1-800-328-8251.

A: You can use it with most chalk paint but check on the paint brand. It may suggest diluting it by up to 10% with water. If your paint has been opened and/or used before, it can have little lumps in it, so strain the paint before you put it into the spray cup

A: The Flexio 590 comes with the iSpray front end for your fence, deck and walls and will leave a roller like texture when using unthinned latex paint. It also comes with the Detail Finish front end nozzle for your trim, furniture and cabinetry. Using thinned materials, it can deliver a fine finish.
