Great for downspouts

Really useful on downspouts Used on round downspouts that run awkwardly horizontal out of a flat roof and it’s very difficult to find parts that fit. This tape sealed up the joints perfectly and they no longer leak.

I bought this product last month when I was putting up my kids pool after filling noticed leaks from holes in bottom drained pool used this tape to seal holes filled back up kids been swimming happily since!!! Great product for water jobs.

Q: Will this work on a tear in the roof of a CLAM pop up gazebo ?

  • A: The adhesive on this tape is very sticky and has worked well repairing the tears and punctures in my pond liner but, without knowing the material on your gazebo, I can't give a definitive answer. I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or just buy a roll of tape and try it.

Q: I have noticed some descriptions say it works on wet surfaces and underwater while other colors do not say that , are they all the same and do they stick under water.

  • A: My only experience with FlexTape was repairing a pond liner which had several tears/punctures from a fallen tree. I removed the liner and prepared it for gluing in the same manner as I prepare anything for gluing i.e. clean it, dry it off, and do a final wipe with alcohol. Also, it was a hot day in June and I worked outside. It's now January and the repair is still holding under several gallons of water. I have no idea if it would work as well if applied in cold temperatures or to a wet surface. You might need to contact the manufacturer for that type of information.

Q: Will this work on a hole in my expandable garden hose

  • A: I used this tape to repair several holes in my pond liner, the result of a fallen tree, and has not leaked after two weeks. This would work on a regular garden hose but I hesitate to recommend using it on a material that alternately expands and contracts.

Q: Will flex tape fix a tear in a car's black convertible roof.

  • A: Hello Joseph! Flex Tape has a variety of ways in which it can be used on your car. Although Flex Tape does work on canvas, it is quite porous, so you may need to help it along by heating up the Flex Tape with a hair dryer after you have applied it. This will help the adhesive to penetrate the spaces between the fabric. It is recommended allowing Flex Tape to bond for 24 hrs. before putting the canvas to use.
