This Flex Seal Flex Paste is a super thick rubberized paste that you can spread, shape, form and seal virtually everything. It starts out as a thick paste and dries to a strong, flexible, waterproof barrier that can be applied to all types of surfaces to seal out air, water and moisture. It clings to the surface and instantly fills large gaps, cracks and holes. It won’t shrink or wash away and can be painted any colour. It can be applied on dry or wet surfaces, even underwater.

Amazing product

Used it to repair seams that were letting go on my truck’s tonneau cover. First time was 2 years ago and now again just a few days ago. I live where the weather is from one extreme to the other from summer to winter and this holds up impressively. Had to buy another can, after 2 years the old can the paste had hardened which is to be expected as not many products have a 2 year shelf life.

It never sealed the leak . Used half the container and the other half harden up after 2 days in the sealed container. Not impressed with the product.

Q: Would flex paste stop an air leak in inflatable kayak?

  • A: Finally repaired the air leak on my inflatable kayak. I used 3 layers of flex paste, 1 layer of flex tape & 1 layer of duct tape. Test the past 2 weeks & works fantastic!

Q: will this product work on sump pump hose with water spraying out of it ?

  • A: Yes, I think it will but only temporary. I'm using it on a crack on my acrylic bathtub and it works great but I've had to replace it because it's constantly wet and eventually lifts

  • A: It works great but comes with a thick hardened edge around the outside making it impossible to reseal so the whole thing hardens so you can't use it twice. This happened 3 times from 2 different stores

  • A: Can’t guarantee I have only used it to fix a leak on the upper window frame of a car, and it wirked  well . I am planning to fix some leaky rain barrels with it as well. Not ce to have on hand!

Q: Would this product work on a flat tar roof without gravel. We need to repair it to get through winter. Does it work on uneven surfaces, as our roof has layers of insulation under the tar. Thank you for your assistance.

  • A: Hello! For this type of project, we recommend using Flex Seal Liquid. Flex Seal Liquid is the easy way to coat, seal, protect, and stop leaks fast. Use it for repairs, projects, crafts, and more. For best results, apply Flex Seal Liquid on a clean dry surface free of grease, oil and dirt. We recommend applying it 24 hours prior to any heavy rain, hail or snowfall (if possible). We recommend using a disposable roller when applying Flex Seal Liquid. For roofing applications, we recommend a 3/4 inch nap roller. Read and follow the instructions on the label for best results.
