The Flame King 5 LB Propane Tank is a pre-purged vacuum ready for filling with propane, avoiding you the cost and headache of purging your new tank. Built from high grade welded steel and powder coated for rust prevention. For your safety, this tank comes with an OPD valve to prevent overfilling. X-ray and hydrostatic tested and DOT and Transport Canada certified so you can be sure to transport safely both in the US and CA. Its portable size makes it a perfect buddy for camping, ice fishing, beach get-togethers and other outdoor activities. Use this tank along with Flame King’s Propane Backpacks for easier transport.

Poor value versus a 20lb tank, but if you want a more portable tank (for a camp stove, or portable grill) it works. Doesn't include a dust cap for the nozzle.

Q: Can we use this with a propane heater Can we use this with the remington 16000 btu single tank heater or do we need a special attachement

  • A: This little tank has the same connector as the larger 20 pound tank. If your heater can connect to a 20 pound BBQ tank, it should fit. If your heater connects to the smaller, green disposable tanks, you'll need an adapter hose ( such as Product #76-2431-2)

Q: Looking to buy a propane stand or stabilizer for my new 5lb propane tank- having a difficult time doing so- would a propane stand that fit a 20lb tank also fit this one???

  • A: The overall length of a 5lb would be 18”, 20lb would be 18”, the diameter is an 8” on the 5lb and 12.2” on the 20lb.
