Easy assembly, but a heads up......the provided wood glue for the dowels was dried up. The dowels don't really add to the structure,.... are only for alignment and not necessary. The glue just keeps them from falling out during assembly. The unit is very strong and I would highly recommend. Also, it has a nice top although not a cutting board.

After much research on many different sites, I liked the look of this one. When I had finished building it I’m now completely in love with it. I’m a senior but I did it myself in 3 hours. I don’t usually do reviews but had to make an exception. It’s sturdy and gorgeous. I may never put the flip down because it looks so good. It gives my small space room to prep and some kitchen storage. Total win!!

We are enjoying this island and it looks nice in our kitchen. However one of the “gates” was about 1/2” shorter than the other one so we needed to put extra felt pieces underneath to level them. The glue that was supplied was totally dried up. But still nice.

A: I guess you could, but it wouldn’t be as easy as just popping some on. You would have to account for the support leg under the centre of the lower shelf. The supports for the table top on the side opposite the shelves are not fixed in the open position, so you would need to secure those prior to adding casters. The size of those legs is smaller than those under the shelving, so that might pose a problem if you wanted uniform sized casters.

A: You probably can, but it would change the height of the unit. I put 3'' sliders for linoleum under mine, I can slide it against the wall to make room, or slide it out to use as an island when needed.
