Unique Shape for a long narrow space.

I had never seen an umbrella like this before noticing set up in the store. It is great for a long narrow space. We are using it by the end of our pool on the patio which is about 20ft x 10ft. It provides more than enough shade for 2 lounge chairs and 1 maybe 2 regular chairs, with space between seats. The post is solid and provides adequate support when open. I really like the base once filled with sand as it is a clean look with the bag cover. Are area is somewhat protected, so can’t reallly comment should it be a windy day, but a light wind is ok. Highly recommend for a space size like ours.

waste of money and materials.

This thing is a waste of money. The base is lightweight and materials are better suited to your toy box. The canopy material is thinner than my worst pair of socks. The poles look like they might bend if you look at them wrong. Why is so much stuff so poorly made? Very environmentally unfriendly if you are going to have to throw away/recycle before end of one season. Other than that...

A: The base is 26 inches square. The base comes with two fabric bags that I filled with sand and placed in the plastic frame. Once you set it up the base you can't move it.
