Was on sale, so excellent value, otherwise priced high for a hatchet. Really sharp, and good grip. Knocked it down a star because it should have been an 18” . Single use, since handle can’t be replaced.

The best for smaller logs than splitting

I have been using this for splitting smaller logs for 3 years. It has withstood the work well, including using the back as a hammer which you are not supposed to do (it’s a bit battered, but no harm done) The important point of this axe is that it is less effort to use for smaller logs than a big axe. Being less tired means you get more work done. Don’t expect this axe to work for big wood. Be careful with the swing because the short handle puts the blade in line with your shins! I typically use it kneeling to be safe.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: They claim a life-time warrantee. Is this in store replacement or ship to wherever at your own cost? Very important to me. Just need to know if the warrantee is as good as claimed before making a purchase. Thanks.

We either have you send us a picture of the broken tool or if we need it returned for inspections, we provide a prepaid mailing label.
