Opening is too narrow when using extension handles

In order to open it enough to fit even the smallest branch into the cutter, you have to open the handles extra wide, extending your arms all the way, so you cannot make the cut unless the branch is right in front of you, and at a convenient angle. Easier to get on a small ladder or stool and use regular pruning shears (for small branches). It's only useful when cutting larger branches (up to 2") that are right up close, if you don't want to use a saw. So the telescoping handles are totally useless.
