Not tough enough

With power gear, it is supposed to handle the tough cuts. But over time the gear tooth handle breaks or the gears wear down since they are plastic.
If the gears wear down u can use this just as a bypass pruner by breaking off the worn gear teeth and filing down the rest.

Durable and better built to last

Great durable product, it is expensive alot of cheaper options available, but I bought this product as I figure it will last longer and cost me less in the long run.

First time use-BROKEN

First use: Attempting to trim very slim branches on a new hydrangea tree and they broke. The cutting edges became unaligned so would not work. Returned with no issues.
