Bought this and am very happy. It's really sturdy and has a nice weight in your hand. If I had to break out of prison, I would pick this trowel to dig my way out!

Expensive garden tool, but worth it

We have hard clay soils in our yard and have bent and broken a handful of trowels. The sturdy design and sharpened blade on this trowel punch though the hard soil easily and, after two years of use, it's still going strong. (We've sharpened it twice so far on a grinder, and it takes and keeps an edge for the entire gardening season.) My husband calls most trowels Ladies's shovels because they are too small and he is the one who breaks them on a regular basis. He finds the handle on this trowel a good size for his big hands and it can survive a pounding season with him. The only problem we've noticed is that the handle has faded and the blade has started to oxidize. These are cosmetic problems. The trowel is strong and effective after two years of use as the day we bought it.
