Not user friendly.

There’s really nothing I like about this thermometer. The buttons on the side are hard to access and even harder to press. My thumb gets a good workout turning it on. The display turns off after about 8 seconds, meaning I have to press that darn side button again! Can not figure out what use the HOLD button is. unfortunately I was not able to open the package without destroying it, so I don’t think I can return it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bad buttons, bad device

Don't waste your money. Cheaper options are much better. As noted in other reviews, the buttons are hard to push and unresponsive. That renders this device useless.

Good Design (Fixed Probe, CR2032, Good Readability)

Used this unit for approximately a month now after my previously used thermometer which has a probe that swings out failed to turn on due to corresponding internal rotary switch issue. Temperature indication on this unit is easy to read even with dim lighting. Glad that unit uses very common CR2032 button battery type. Indication suggests that battery will likely last quite long. Only thing that would possibly make it better would be if holder was magnetic which would allow it to be affixed for easy access (e.g. onto refrigerator, stove or BBQ).

A: The thermometer cover is designed to go on 3/4 of the way then you need to put a bit of pressure for it to go on the whole way. The reason for this is for the cover not to fall off when you put it away in your drawer.
