Too flexible to be very protective in a side impact. Both cup holders loosely attached to seat vry easily popping off when child gets in or out of seat and just grabs it

I had the Evenflo Everystage model, which I liked, it feels solid and safe, specially its strap locking system. This Evenflo Maestro is cheaper, and it really feels like that. The base, the strap hangers, even the cup holders feel weak. I'd return it if it weren't a final sale product. Also, the strap system didn’t let pull strong enough and the seat was moving laterally.

Q: Is this kind of booster legally allowed to have 2.5 year old who’s over the minimum weight limit?  My 2.5 year old is outgrowing his rear-front car seat

  • A: It is if it shows a green picture of an airplane on the warning label. Having said this, I wouldn't strap a kid into it on an aircraft as it's big and awkward to carry around. We have flown several times and we hold kids under 2 in our lap and my son who's 3 sits in a regular seat with the lap belt.
