This is my Hammer of choice as a Framing Carpente.

I have been a Framing Carpenter for 8 years full time. My My first hammer was Estwing. Being a loyal type, I have had many hammers. I grab this when I came out and just like it. I very light, hits hard and I love the Estwing grip! I have a back up if this ever breaks.

Ultra Light and hits like a 20 ounce, broke my first one and bought a second if that says anything. It’s No stiletto but it’s a great hammer for the money

I like the hammer quite a bit, easy to swing all day while lessening the shock wave that travels though your arm and up into your shoulder and believe me that's a good thing
, all while striking with the force of a 22 oz. hammer. the only thing I'm not crazy about is the grip

I have been a stiletto user for a long time , which I love , but I will say my tendonitis still acts up , due to the shock of hitting nails or whatever your working on , I will admit that the claw is a little short on the estwing but man , my arm has never felt better , it's like hitting with a dead blow hammer, anyways it will definitely not replace my stiletto with all its attributes but this estwing hammer is awesome, especially if your banging nails all day, absolutely no recoil to my elbow, if you get tendonitis, I would say try it out, for 160bucks is a little expensive but your arm will thank you
