Probablement le meilleur rapport qualité prix sur le marché. Il n'existe rien avec une surface de cuisson de 36'' avec 5 bruleurs à ce prix. Pour des grandeurs similaires, les modèles disponibles dans d'autres marque on seulement 4 bruleurs et le prix débute à 1200$.
La seul raison pourquoi je n'ai pas donnée un note parfaite,c'est parce que je trouves que le système d'allumage pourrait être meilleur. On doit souvent refaire le ''clic'' sur les boutons avant que l'allumage ce fasse.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Vida by PADERNO is a griddle top only. There is no option to convert to cooking grates. That being said, all things you're able to cook on a grill you're able to cook on a griddle and MORE! Steaks are a favorite, also breakfast foods such as eggs, pancakes, and bacon. Other foods like rice, small cut foods like fajitas and tacos, etc. are a big hit on griddles. There are lots of recipe videos on YouTube. Hope this helps!

Q: I’m contemplating the purchase of your Paderno Essence Series 5-Burner Gas Griddle and I’d like to know if this propane model can be converted to natural gas? Even if it means buying and changing parts.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Vida 5-Burner Gas Griddle is NOT able to be converted to natural gas. It's CSA certified Liquid Propane ready only. A purchase of a natural gas conversion kit would not be able to be used on this unit. There is a difference between a propane only valve assembly, and a convertible valve assembly. Unfortunately this grill is 100% not able to convert to natural gas. These types of kits are not interchangeable because every valve has its own specification. Hope this helps!

Q: Under specifications it says "Primary Cooking Grid Material is Porcelain-coated cast iron" but description says it is made of hot rolled steel. Which is it? Why does it say both?

A: Hi Ryan, Thank you for your inquiry. It appears you already asked this question and received a response. In case it was missed: The Griddle top is constructed of hot rolled steel which is a surface much like cast iron and requires the same care and seasoning as such. Seasoning is the process of applying multiple coatings of oil to the griddle surface, heating to a high temperature, to bake the oil into the griddle top, creating a slick, non-stick surface, that is blackened and protected from rust and oxidization. The request has been made to have the specification and descriptions edited to say "hot rolled steel" as the cook surface material. Hope this helps!

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Griddle top is constructed of hot rolled steel which is a surface much like cast iron and requires the same care and seasoning as such. Seasoning is the process of applying multiple coatings of oil to the griddle surface, heating to a high temperature, to bake the oil into the griddle top, creating a slick, non-stick surface, that is blackened and protected from rust and oxidization. HOW TO SEASON THE GRIDDLE: 1. Clean the griddle top with a damp cloth to remove any dust/dirt. 2. Apply oil to the griddle top, sides and corners. Use a paper towel to coat surface thoroughly. 3. Light the griddle and set control knobs to the MAX setting. 4. Heat the oil to its smoke point. You will notice the griddle top changing colour. 5. When the oil stops smoking, repeat steps 2 to 4, about 5 times, until the griddle surface becomes dark. NOTE: With continued use of your griddle, the seasoning bond will get better and better. Applying a coating of oil at the start and finish of each cook will help to maintain seasoning. Never use soap to clean the griddle. This will destroy the seasoning. Never pour cold water on hot surface as this can cause thermal shock and can warp the surface. Hope this helps!

A: Thank you for your inquiry. How to Clean the Griddle: Preheat your griddle. Use a water bottle to apply a small amount of warm water to the griddle surface. Use a griddle scraper to loosen any debris on the surface. Apply more water if needed. Be careful not to use too much water, as you may overflow the grease catch. Once the griddle top is reasonably clean, scraped and dry, apply a thin coat of oil to maintain the seasoning bond and prevent rust. Seasoning is the process of applying multiple coatings of oil to the griddle surface, heating to a high temperature, to bake the oil into the griddle top, creating a slick, non-stick surface, that is blackened and protected from rust and oxidization. HOW TO SEASON THE GRIDDLE: 1. Clean the griddle top with a damp cloth to remove any dust/dirt. 2. Apply oil to the griddle top, sides and corners. Use a paper towel to coat surface thoroughly. 3. Light the griddle and set control knobs to the MAX setting. 4. Heat the oil to its smoke point. You will notice the griddle top changing colour. 5. When the oil stops smoking, repeat steps 2 to 4, about 5 times, until the griddle surface becomes dark. Oils For Seasoning a. Vegetable oil b. Vegetable shortening c. Canola oil d. Flax oil e. Olive oil – Not ideal. Burns off at lower temperatures than the other options above. Note: DO NOT USE SOAP on the griddle surface, this will destroy the seasoning. Hope this helps!
