Q: Can this lantern operate on either AA batteries or recharging? Many of the reviews refer to a hybrid lantern which works with two power sources, but the product description only mentions USB charging as a power source.

A: The lantern only operates via an internal, non-removable rechargeable battery. There is a power input (microUSB-B) to charge the lantern and a power output (USB-A) to use the lantern as a power bank to charge other devices.

One charge does it all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this product. We took it when we rented a cabin and it helped out tremendously. Not only does it have 3 perfect settings, from very bright down to the perfect nightlight. It stayed charged all weekend and even charged my phone. I highly recommend this to anyone, not just camping, but for when you lose power it also becomes very helpful.

Does Have Its Ups and Downs

While the lantern does provide an exceptionally bright light and last for 6 hours at its brightest setting as described, unfortunately the green light indicator doesn't provide an accurate reading, with 3 lights blinking continuously despite being charged for 8 hours as instructed then with only two lights after being charged. Otherwise it is useful and suited for my own needs.

It even has a spot to charge your devices and to charge the lantern. I would definitely recommend this item it would be great for emergencies or to keep in your car
