Copper Clad Aluminum No Bueno

The CAT6 standard strictly requires pure, solid or stranded bare copper conductors. Under TIA-568-C.2 and other industry standards, compliant Ethernet cables must be made of copper to ensure performance and safety, specifically for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. Copper-clad aluminum (CCA) is not considered a true Category 6 cable.
