Good scale; marred top

The photo here (and on the box) shows a clean, white surface for this scale, but it has a non-removable label in half-inch high black letters that says "Not Legal for Trade" in both languages, and another label under the readout in smaller letters that states the accuracy margin. The marring of the otherwise clean surface with the legal warning seems entirely unnecessary. Nobody is likely to sell anything (by weight or otherwise) in his bathroom. It's an uglifying addition to the scale.

Q: How do you turn it on? When I try to follow the diagram, the scale does not reset. I know i weigh quite a bit more than 96 pounds. And yes, I did put it on pounds - not kg.

A: It turns on when you step on it. If this does not work, try resetting it by replacing the batteries. For your convenience, there is a manual on our website. If this does not resolve the issue, the item may be defective and you can exchange it with your receipt for a period of one year at your local Canadian Tire store.
