OK but not as good as a dedicated trimmer.

I bought this to replace my 9 year old 15" string trimmer which no longer worked properly and was out of warranty. I already had the power head with the aluminum shaft and found this attachment for a good price. It is OK but not as good as my old trimmer was before the switch broke making it only work at the highest speed. It is not quite as easy to control. It is heavier and not as well balanced. It does an adequate job but next time, Iĺl purchase a dedicated trimmer rather than an attachment for the multi-head system.

No, I do not recommend this product.

When it works it works great, however I seem to be having some problems inside the cutting head. This is causing the trimmer head to stop spinning anytime I incur increased resistance. All the other EGO tools I have have been great, so maybe just a bad unit???

Hello there! Thank you for reviewing the EGO 15" String Trimmer Attachment. If the unit is stopping under heavy load then you may be experiencing an overload. We would first recommend taking the head apart and cleaning the head out of any debris or build up. If using on heavy materials or if there is debris or buildup, an overload may occur. Thank you!
