Got Scotch Broom? Cut it in bloom!

This 'sickle-bar' type cutter driven by a multi-head tool, wiped out about 800 feet of a blooming scotch broom infestation two summers ago. It was so easy to cut all the stems at ground level by keeping the bar level with the terrain. Best part? We only had a few sprouts return this last summer! Highly recommended!

The hedge trimmer attachment for my carbon fiber head works well. It cuts thru branches up to 1” in diameter. I like the variable speeds and controls are comfortable. The big downside for me (65 yr old man in relatively good shape) is the weight. The combine weight of the head and the trimmer attachment wears me out quickly. I was hoping being that it’s carbon fiber it would be lighter weight. Nope. I have to spread my hedge trimming over several days to finish the job.

No, I do not recommend this product.
