Didn’t work

Thought I would try this rather than a bulky solar blanket. It really didn’t seem to add any extra warmth to the pool. Wasn’t the greatest summer weather wise so that might have had an effect.

Great Product

The Solar Fish is a GREAT thing to have!!! It puts a thin layer of chemical over the top of your pool which in turn keeps the water from evaporating as much and it also helps keep your pool from cooling off as much at night!! In the spring it takes a quite a bit to warm a big pool up - and then when it cools off at night - your pool goes back down in temperature - but not with the Solar Fish!!! this thing is GREAT!!! and I never go a swimming season with one!!!

Cheap Solar Blanket

We use one of these in our 24’ round above ground pool. One fish we find lasts 2 months or so, so when you consider the price it’s a no brainer for us to add it to our pool product list. We use these in combination with solar panels as well that heat our pool, so it’s hard for us to measure exactly how much the fish is helping the temps, but I do believe it does keep the water warmer and helps reduce evaporation.

Works fine. You may need to cut a little below the dotted line on the fish to have the liquid seep out properly.

Stained Plastic Pool Stair

I spilled a little of the liquid solar cover on my plastic pool stairs while I was opening the 'fish'. Didn't think much of it but next dat had a major stain on my stairs that I haven't been able to remove. Also, never really noticed much heat retention - at least not compared to my regular solar blanket.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: There are NO known allergens in this product; it is entirely safe for everyone to use. It has been used in settings such as hospitals and therapy pools, as well as schools, municipalities, hotels and more, where the attendance is so diverse that the chemicals used in the pool need to be entirely safe.
