I have never used a real oven cleaner before but this this stuff makes it so you barely have to scrub. I sprayed the inside of my oven (cold) and let it sit an hour with the door closed , came back and gently wiped with paper towel and it almost all came off. Did a second round on the bottom of the oven where the build up is and it nearly all came off. Finished it off with some dawn powerwash to get off any residue and my oven is so clean. It is a little fumey but wore a mask And opened windows to be safe

A: Yes. Just be sure to use the product according to the instructions, and do not leave it on longer than what is stated on the can.

A: I haven’t tried it on chrome but, if I was you I’d suggest soaking the racks in hot water with a few dishwasher pods for a few hours and then scrub to remove the build up but it could also work with easy off

Q: Does this product have - sodium hydroxide I need to remove aluminum paper residue from a bottom of a modern stove oven.

A: Yes, the above product has sodium hydroxide in it. The Lysol team advises that you scrape as much of the aluminum foil out of the stove oven as possible, and then apply the Easy-Off. If you are applying product to a Self-Cleaning Oven, you should not use the Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner; instead, use the Fume Free Max Oven Cleaner (Product #0530306). In any event, consumers are directed to all labeling for instructions prior to use.
