Excellent Product

Bought this for my son (8yrs old) 2 seasons ago. He absolutely loves it. Very comfortable, easy to move and he feels well protected. Would recommend for any beginner catcher.

A: Thank you for contacting Easton Bell Sports. The difference between the 6-8 and the 9-12 is the size of the length. the ages 6-8 shin guard is 11.5 inches and the 9-12 is 12.75 inches. In the Chest protector the 6-8 is 12 inches and the 9-12 is 13 inches.

A: The chest protector is about 14" from the neck to the top of the groin flap. The shin guards are 11.5" measured from the middle of the knee cap to the bend of the foot. My son is 10 now and I think we can get another season with this gear before having to move up to the next size. He's been wearing the catcher's gear since age 7. We bought the Easton Walk-Off wheeled bag which has enough room for whatever you want to throw in it. Right now, my son has his catcher's gear, batting helmet (sometimes two batting helmets... one for travel ball, one for league) two bats (one regular and one big barrel), three gloves in the "Glove Zone" compartment (catcher's mitt, pitching glove and fielding glove), batting gloves and towel. He can fit more, but all the stuff is just thrown in, so you don't have to organize it neatly to get everything in there. The only thing I don't like about it (maybe Easton has fixed this), but it needs a double thick bottom material from where it gets stood up on end. It wore pretty quick with just the single wall of material. Of course, this is the Ogio Engineered bag, which is a couple years old, so the newer models may be a little more durable. Think we're going to try the Stealth Core Catcher's bag next... GL!

A: Easton customer, The helmet may not fit a large teenage head as the Black Magic only comes in youth and intermediate sizes. You will want to find the hat size of the catcher to determine if the helmet will fit.

A: Thank you for contacting Easton Bell Sports. You want to measure the chest from the collar bone to the hip bone and then the legs from the knee to the ankle. The intermediate size is would be 15 inches in the chest and 14 inches in the legs The youth would be 13 inches in the chest and 11.5 inches in the legs.
