I recently bought a new home with hardwood floors. I always thought the Dyson handheld vacuums would work well on such floors. I’m so glad I chose to purchase one because it is absolutely fantastic!

Battery is a weak point. Never lasted long; the vacuum was cared for and rarely used. Always charged properly.
They’ll tell you to replace the battery. Guess what ? They don’t have any.

A: How frustrating for you. I can’t offer a solution, I’m sorry to tell you. I have a friend whose Dyson is also only a year old, and it has just “died”. She doesn’t know what to do about it, because there doesn’t seem to be a Dyson repair centre available.

Q: This Dyson V7 Complete does it come with attachments. And the battery is it removeable?

A: Yes, it comes with 3 brush/nozzle attachments, a small motorized head as well as the full size rotary head . The battery can be replaced but the unit must be taken apart to do this so basically you'd do that when the original battery won't take a charge anymore. I'm extremely pleased with the unit and highly recommend it for a use in an apartment, condo or small house.

Q: Can the Dyson V7 Complete Cordless Vacuum be used on hardwood floors, are the brushes soft enough to not scratch hardwood floors?

You may wish to check with your flooring manufacturer, to see what their recommendation might be with regard to using a brush bar on your hardwood. Q: whts the differece between the dyson v7 motoor head and the dyson v7?

A: Hi Tony, this is Kelly with Dyson. All Dyson V7 cord-free machines will provide the same suction power and run time. The difference between models will be tools that come in the box. The Dyson V7 Motorhead will include the combination and crevice tools. The V7 Complete will include both of those tools, with the addition of the mini motorized tool plus the soft dusting brush. Q: Do you have to hold the power button on constantly like the other V7? I have arthritis in my hands and that would be painful.

Q: 2 questions: 1) Does the battery have 'memory' in that over time it holds less of a charge? 2) Where does the power charger mount to? Promo videos show the unit hooking into a wall mount- does this require an outlet at a specific height on the wall? Thx

A: Hi Annie, this is Kelly with Dyson. Great questions on the battery for our cordless machines. We know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use. That being said, Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to degradation over time. This is completely normal and occurs with any device that uses this type of battery. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise how long each component will last in each individual's home. the wall dock will attach to your wall, and the charger cord will thread behind the dock, with one end plugging in to your electrical outlet, and the pin end plugging in to the wall dock. The machine can be charged without the dock. It would need to be mounted - if you are using the dock - close enough to the outlet to allow the plug to reach without stretching it.
