Never going away from a Dyson again.

We had a Dyson but lost it in a house fire in February of 21. We replaced it with an I Robot Vacuum which was convenient. Recently we decided to by a stick Vacuum as we fel the Robot was not cleaning sufficiently. So we decided on a Dyson. Just using it a few minutes picked up so much pet hair and dust it was surprising. Apparently the Robot was not doing the job. Since we have purchased the Dyson we have recommended it to family and friends.

Disappointing

I bought this & found that the dog hair doesn't release, sometimes gets lodged in the canister & I have to pull it out by hand. The gasket should be firmer to pull the debris out & into the trash.

Control the chaos!

My mother-in-law gave me this vacuum as a holiday gift After I raved about using hers on a Thanksgiving visit. I never saw myself writing a review of a vacuum, but this vacuum has actually really improved my experience of keeping my house clean. It’s super easy to grab it, grab the right attachment, and just go for it look at the split instead of letting dirt build up. The main attachment does a decent job of cleaning our wood floors and low carpets. The smaller rotating head is awesome at getting crumbs and dandruff and what not off the couch. The vacuum makes me feel a little bit more in control of the general chaos around here!

Q: Should the vacuum be on the charger always when not in use? If so does this make the battery less efficient in the long run?

A: Since I bought it, I have kept the vacuum plugged in when not in use because I find that it takes quite a long time to be fully charged after using it. I honestly don't know if the battery would become less efficient.

Q: I have all hardwood floors, but I have a dog that sheds like crazy! I’m just trying to decide between this one or the Dyson V 15! Does anybody have any suggestions?

A: I bought a V10 for our basement downstairs and I have a Labrador Retriever that sheds her fur twice a year. Six months in the fall and six months in the spring. This V10 sucked up her fur from furniture and our laminate flooring. Long battery life and have no issue with the V10.

Q: Will the suction be too strong on a shag rug?

A: Suction may not be the issue. Length of the shag may jam the beater bar. I have a fairly low nap shag in a bedroom, but fringes on orientals can make the beater jam….the vac senses this and stops it before damaging the unit. Otherwise a terrific vacuum.
