Q: Can two of these be used for 12v lighting in a camper?

A: These batteries are generally rated about 52 amp-hours each capacity wise, so depending on your electrical load, you may be able to use them in series (for 12 volts) for short periods. I do not know how much current they can supply, nor how the battery reacts under heavy load. They should be acceptable for lighting, since that's one of the original uses for this style of battery.

A: Some flashlights are considered “lanterns”. Characteristics for these feature a big head and handle. This is why this battery is known as a "lantern battery".
