Not for hardwood factory finish floors

I bought this to strip down some pieces of hardwood flooring, factory finish, but this didn’t even cause a stain on it, I’ve used this product to remove paint and worked great, Must be a real tough finish on the hardwood floor,

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Great product. Lots of work to do in our house and this stripper made things a lot easier! I received this product complimentary but my review didn’t post the first time!

Doesn't work as advertised. Will slowly make a dent in old finishes, but be prepared to reapply over and over and over. Lots of effort and scraping also required.

Vikingbrah, Its always hard to read a review that says your product is does not work however I do want to that you for taking a minute to write to us. I would like to help you and for that you will have to contact myself directly. Our email and number is listed on the label of our products. I will require more details about your project but I will suggest that you buy a paint remover with methylene chloride as it is one of the main ingrediants that is not in our NewGen recipe. We do also have an entire different product line under the title SolvEco, that includes some great products for getting the right job done. Always read and follow our labels. Jessica SuperRemover

Save your money I should’ve just sanded instead of using this

I put two coats on this to take the paint off a very small kitchen table. All it did was make it gummy, but did not strip off the paint. I had to buy another product to take this product off and then bought a different chemical that worked the first time.

Hello Gina, what you are explaining to me sounds very excruciating. So many steps you took to finish your project. Im not sure what your project was but removing the paint seemed like a painful process. If you have a future project let us help you better. We are the largest chemical distributer in north America, I am sure we have the products here to get the job done right the first time. If you take a look at our website, you will see products available that are not sold at your local hardware store. You can contact us directly for the best support and explainations as needed. I hope this review finds you well and thank you, Jessica SuperRemover

Questions

Q: How does it work now that the only active ingredient that actually works (methylene chloride) has been removed?

3 Answers
  • A: Dunno about the chemistry, but It really works well, as good as others that I have tried. Leave it on for 20 minutes then remove. Much better than the pure water based strippers that require wax paper covering. Pit on thick and do not disturb once applied. Also use metal based cleaning pads and or steel wool in removal. Repeat the process if needed. Note, the left over in the can does not keep well. Get fresh when needed. Made in Quebec👍

Q: Would this work to remove old spilled paint on vinyl siding?

2 Answers
  • A: Hello Lane, Sorry for the delay. In general it will work without damaging the siding when not left too long on it. However it has to be tested on a small surface before doing the whole thing. If you have any further questions, please contact me directly. 1-866-772-2498. Thank you, Marc-Andre.

Q: Does it work on automobile parts ? I want strip paint off of motorcycle alluminium parts.

2 Answers
  • A: It states that it is safe for metal and I bought it to use on auto parts. I am finding after two applications I still need to apply it again. I am not down to bare metal as of yet. It has removed the top coat but not the base coat. To answer your question, yes, but not really well.

Q: Can i use this product to remove paint stain on the window glass without leaving mark on it?

2 Answers
  • A: This is a pretty mild product for removing stain. I used it on an oak dining table which had a clear finish. Removed 95% of the old finish, then I had to sand what appeared to be bloches. It did end up looking very good, but oak is a hard wood, and the table was solid wood.
