Tried to put it on my truck and it started bubbling the paint. It doesn't say anywhere on the instructions not to put on painted surfaces just to prep. Ruined my whole day and my project cuz I had to start back to square one. If I can find the receipt I am going to be taking this junk product back

A: Yes it can, make sure the surface you are applying the rock guard too, is well prepped, washed, scuffed / sanded and has no grease or oils on surface before applying and no loose paint etc, the coating is only as good as the surface it attaches too

Q: Hello, how long does this coating last? How soon does it need to be reapplied? Does it eventually dry and crack, allowing moisture behind the coating if the coating has not been removed? How to remove the coating if needed? Thank you.

A: This is a very good product and I’ve used it for many years. How long will it last depends on where it is applied if it’s applied where it gets direct sunlight, it is probably good for around five years without any problems after that, it starts to deteriorate with sun and elements. If you want to remove it, you need harsh chemicals or grind it off

A: 047-7939 Rocker Guard undercoating is not designed for direct application as a bumper coating. It is not recommended for this application but may be used to coat the underside of vehicles, trailers, wheel wells, trunk areas, etc.

A: Yes, it may be used in non-critical applications (above grade) to well-weathered and properly prepared wood. It will not penetrate and will not perform like a stain/varnish or oil based finish. It would work best over a previously applied coating if properly prepared (cleaned and lightly sanded).
