okay, not great - clunky at best

although inexpensive enough, it is a poorly made model with very clunky, exaggerated parts and poo visibility within the motor for a youngster to see the inner workings - the point of the model...
you get what you pay for

Q: what age group is this for....do you recommend it for a 13 year old

A: It depends if the Main idea is building it or the end result. The parts are named like a real engine which helps you to understand how a real engine works but and it’s does show how all the parts move. The end result moves very slow and isn’t very entertaining. If you like building stuff and puzzles then it’s fun but the engine it’s self wouldn’t be very entertaining for a 13 year old

Q: Would this discovery model be suitable for a 12 year old? I remember having one when I was young and building it with my Dad. I helped me understand how an engine actually worked. Just wondering if this is meant for youth around 12 or so.
