However, if you are specifically looking for a pet vacuum, then i would also suggest the Dirt Devil Max Pet Rewind Upright Vacuum; it features a Heavy Duty Pet Brushroll optimized to effectively clean and remove pet hair on both carpet and hard floors! Q: Can you shut the beater bar off for hardwood floors? Or is it high medium and low?
5 years agoA: Hi Sheri, thank you for your question regarding the Dirt Devil®Pro Power™ XL Upright Vacuum ! Besides the High, Medium, and Low Carpet Settings, you also have a Hard Floor Setting - Great for tile, hardwood, linoleum and more. As for the Brushroll, or the beater bar, it continues to rotate while product is turned on, there's no option to turn off the brushroll. We hope this helps!
