No one will install this product. Not diy. Terrible

Explained to sales rep my intentions with this purchase. Went to book the install after Christmas only to be told “we don’t install that”. Even after I told him I was going to do just that. Can’t be installed at home. Not a “kit” to get you going.

Let down by Service department

When checking to get the unit installed on I called for four days 5 times each day and no one answered the phone being on hold for an hour each time. Went in on Christmas Eve and had an appointment for 10. When I arrived I was told now it would be a four hour job to install. Also I asked to check the battery. All the wait was for nothing as the unit wouldn’t work on the car. Left with nothing completed and a bill for an additional $110. So I returned it and will have another service done elsewhere. Not impressed to say the least.

Bad, 50 ft range

This product is horrible, it only has a 50 ft range. I wouldn’t buy any remote car starters from Canadian tire actually, just stay away. Back in the day you could buy a remote starter and get it programmed to your specific vehicle then install it yourself. Now they don’t do that, they strong arm you into buying an expensive remote starter and charging you for install.

Bought as a Christmas gift and no installation installations, and no online support. User manual was only in French. Will be returning and going somewhere else.

This should not be sold to the public at CanadianTire. You must be an authorized dealer to program these to initialize, and CTC can't help you. Someone made a huge mistake at CTC when they decided to stock this on the shelves.

  • A: No sure buddy. My car is a 2007 Ford Edge and it worked fine. I would call Auto Add Ons and ask them. Seem very generic to me.
