Great audio cabinet

Cons:
-it stank like fresh paint for two days. But can't smell it now
Pros:
-MADE OF REAL WOOD!! It is Venere covered wood but it is almost all solid wood. The only MDF (glued wood chips). Is the two shelves.
-the doors are made very well. Glass looks amazing. I have no issue with remotes even though my equipment is behind glass.
-fireplace looks good. Heats ok and heater is not noisy.
-made incredibly sturdy. It is a heavy cabinet.
-pretty easy to assemble. Took about one hour by myself.
-remote for fireplace works good.
Got it on a great sale and really like cabinet. Would buy again.

Box was extremely heavy when we picked it up at store, but we did manage to get it on truck and off truck and put in garage when we got home. We just opened it in garage and carried individual pieces into house. The wood had a very strong oily paint smell, but it did go away gradually and within a couple of days it was gone. It is the perfect size for where I need it and I love the dark wood and the crystal in the fireplace. With fireplace going it is so pretty to watch, can't wait to have it going more over the long winter months. My husband said it was very easy to put together. It is a beautiful unit.

Recently purchased this item and it is fantastic. When putting it together found the top had some bubbling in the veneer and contacted My Canadian Tire store on Sheppard Ave and the store manager had me bring the top in and replaced it with another one. Great experience and and product

Q: What are the dimensions for the side shelves?

A: Two shelves each side: hole space for shelves is 42 cm deep x 45.5 cm wide x 58.5 cm total height. Including the bottom of the cabinet you then have the possibility of three horizontal surfaces to set things on either side of the fireplace insert. Pins insert into the cabinet hole sides to support the two shelves. Pin holes for the two shelves located at roughly the third-height points, and have three possible height settings up-down approx 4 cm. The two shelves actually stop about 5 cm from the back of the cabinet - I guess to allow cables to pass between shelves. There is also a central shelf: 66 cm W x 10 cm H x 33 cm D above the fireplace insert. Hole in the cabinet back allows cables to pass out.

Q: what are the dimensions the unit's dimensions here and those in the Fall destination sale flyer (sept 26-oct 16 2014) are not the same 24 vs 30H. which is correct for the height? Both seem less tall than many other similar media fireplaces
